Don’t scare me like that. I knew for a fact it wasn’t on and I still stopped breathing when I saw this topic. 😛 I like baseball, but I’m not going to enjoy going three more weeks without the show. ---

I pretty much hate Fox by this point. If it wasn’t for Arrested Development I’d give up on them (And I really do like Family Guy, American Dad, and the Simpsons…it’s just that I can catch them on other networks.) ---

To make things worse, I read today that rumor has it that AD is on the chopping block. It may not even make it through the rest of the season. Kitchen Confidential may not even return after baseball. ---

AD’s ratings have had Fox in dead last, even coming in behind lightweight’s lke the WB and UPN. Even high-profile guest stars like Charlize Theron haven’t brought it up out of the basement. The Emmy the show picked up for writing this year wasn’t nearly high-profile enough for Fox to cash in on, and being the darling of the critics isn’t likely to keep them afloat much longer. Articles like [this one](http://www.contactmusic.com/new/xmlfeed.nsf/mndwebpages/gervais%20arrested%20development%20castmates%20offered%20to%20pay%20his%20air%20fare) make you wonder how much support the Network is willing to continue giveng this show. Fox listens to sales… Season 2 has just come out on DVD… Buy! BUY! BUY!!! Seriously. We could possible keep the rest of the seaon on air if there is enough sales of the DVD’s… will we get a season 4? Not likely unless Season 3 starts getting viewers… if Fox keeps it in a steady time slot. I’m off to get my copy. Anyone else? :dubious: ---

I just watched all of season 2 on reruns over the summer, why would I buy it? Ha. ---

If Fox cans AD, I really couldn’t fault them. They have given the show time, it had a good time slot for two years, and they have given it mucho advertisement space (especially leading into Season 2). They’ve done right by Arrested Development, but at some point, they have to produce ratings. They have actually given this one time to build an audience. AD is 43 episodes along. Compare that to the legendary “give it time to grow” sitcom, Seinfeld. By episode 43, Jerry and George were pitching their sitcom to NBC and becoming a top ten show. At some point, Fox is justified in pulling the plug. I blame society. ---

I went to 2 Best Buys and a Circuit City tonight, and all three places had sold out by 2 p.m. So I have a raincheck to keep me warm tonight. Anybody else have a hard time finding a copy? Happy ---

Nooooo. Don’t give up! DVD sales are the new ratings/box office take. Plus they’re still shooting next week, so no one’s told them to cut it out yet (unlike Head Cases, Just Legal, and Inconceivable). Fox knows it has a good thing with an extreeemely devoted fanbase (no one’s making shrines to Yes, Dear) with money to burn. ---

Just got my DVDs, so I’m set. I find that worrying about the show’s future is the greatest (only?) impediment to watching and enjoying it, so I’ve long since quit reading the tea leaves about it. If it doesn’t go any longer, much as I want it to, three seasons is a good run. ---

We rented Season 2 last night and watched the first six episodes. (We plan to buy all the DVDs, but it’s not in the budget right now.) Finally, we will understand how Buster lost his hand and other mysteries! I bow before the funniest and filthiest show on TV. ---
