Man this episode was great! But I really lost it during the voiceover when Buster plucked GOB out of the wreckage of the banana stand and then dropped him. The voiceover was something like “Unfortunately Buster had not mastered the art of dropping gently”. I just lost it. ---

If there really isn’t a strain of marijuana called “Afternoon Delight”, there damn well ought to be. The “Afternoon Delight” running gag floored me because I juuuuuUuust had a conversation with a co-worker about how neither of us realized how dirty that song was when we innocently sang it as kids. And – HOLD THE PHONE – did Ann and George Michael disappear into a supply closet when Michael and Maebe were singing?!? “I sent [Anyong] to Mifflin Academy to teach him a lesson… I forget why.” Hee. If Lucille put him in a military school, he might return as a better soldier than Buster. “Thank God all my favorite brands are here.” Finally, the epilogue. “The Blue Man Group finally called Tobias with a life-changing opportunity. Unfortunately he didn’t hear the phone and his life remained the same.” I praise Ron Howard for his pitch-perfect episodic narration. ---

Tobias had a couple of good moments: when he came out of the bathroom with a towel around his waist, presumably naked under it, then he dropped it and had cutoffs on; when he said “I got blown,” after Lucille attacked him with her “rape horn”; and at the end – “It’s me, Tobias. Does anyone want to drive me to the hospital?” ---

You can always tell a Milford man… I agree with everyone that this is one of the best episodes yet! “Good Grief” is still #1 for me so far. So Buster won a seal from “Army” for marksmanship and a gorilla for sand racing - hee! Gobs can finally get in Dad’s pants now. Man, the amount of incestuous jokes make it hard to get a good breath between laughing! Since there has been an uptick in mentions of Michael’s late wife, who would you cast for her? I thought Christina Applegate would work but she’s doing _Sweet Charity_ all year. What other tv/movie connections to the Arrested Development cast could play the role of Tracy? I like how they were teasing us with Michael and Maeby’s ‘road trip’ that someone was going to panic and they’d be ‘discovered’ in some sort of innocuous but comprimising position… and then they found Oscar right by the gas station. Classic bait and switch. ---

It’s the little things that really make the show. That plush seal with the blue “Good Luck” t-shirt was just the most perfect prop, and something that would totally catch Buster’s eye. ---
