After contemplating this question for several beer-driven hours, if have come to the conclusion of who cares?
Well, it’s especially funnier bleeped if you know that Tony Hale, a devout Christian, was actually reciting the alphabet during that segment!
Does anyone know what Buster was actually saying, both this time and the other time he insulted his mother. I remember the follow-up line the first time was, “Well, no one is going to beat that.”
I’ve heard quite a few people say (not so much on the SDMB) that the show is starting to slip. Without getting into that, a hiatus before moving to Showtime may provide the writers a bit of a recharge before a new season, which could allow a bit of a renaissance of the show. (Not that it needs it, IMHO.)
Surf’s up, dude!
If AD moves to Showtime, I’ll just have to add Showtime to my cable package.
I wonder if I should send an email to Showtime telling them that…
Wait!!! What about us Canadian fans?!?!!? We can’t even access Showtime web page as we are foreigners and all.
Do I have to wait a whole extra year for DVDs?!?!!? Is there even a Canadian affiliate that can show them?!?! Arrrgghh that would be worse than cancellation!!
I do think it’s suffered a little - the uncertainty can’t have done them any good, and I think they’ve been pressured to be more accessible. The show seems goofier this year.
I agree. While the goofiness was more subtle in the first two seasons, it’s more over-the-top now.
And how do you write without knowing how long to arc a story out?
You write s hort one and hope you can come up with another good one if need be. (see 24)
I really think this show might work better(though it pains me to say it) with a 6 episode season, like Curb Your Enthusiasm or British shows.
Imagine if the Rita storyline had been one season. It would have been easier to plan.
