AI to rescue. I guess identifying a boob or Johnson can be done. Trying to censor gestures or Signs can open up a can of worms. How far will they take it?
I’m getting the popcorn ready for the reopening. This could be interesting.
I understand the artist and organization behind the project wants to create a enjoyable family oriented experience. I’m not convinced it can be done with a real time feed. Let’s see how it works out.
there’s a practical way to prevent the problem:
You set up the portal in a public place, but with a fence around it…a decorative, knee-high fence, or maybe a line of
potted plants creating a green, living fence, as part of the “art”.
At the gate in the fence, you hire a local art student who opens the gate for you, lets one or two people at a time into the portal. And…here’s the catch… he asks you to show ID first.
actually, I’d think the fact of being able to see foreign tiddys might make it more popular…
But it’s not the first time … when Disneyland first opened Splash Mountain they had a live camera that right when you were drowned with freezing cold water it took a picture and showed it to everyone in line … well apparently they didn’t realize that in ca in the summer that women wear thin tops with no bras … and then some of the women began actively flashing the camera and people began flipping it off so they turned it off there was a controversy … so they brought it back with a 15 second time delay …
I remember that. You could buy your picture at the end. If someone was naughty, your picture wouldn’t be available which is what happened to me the one time I was on there after they added the picture function. I wasn’t me or my girlfriend so I’m not sure what happened.
My suggestion for preventing the problem… have an AI determine if someone did a rude thing. Flash, show violent images, flip the bird, etc. Then if a rude thing is detected, immediately shut down the Portal for 5 minutes, and display “Don’t be naughty to the Portal”.
