My daughter was once given (as I recall) a two-pack or a four-pack of 2’x2’ squares of bright colored foam thick enough to serve as a corkboard. The foam-like material has a stucco-like finish\*. Searching the local stores (and online shopping and googling), I keep finding the common foam board, foam sheets, or plain cork panels. Surely. some artsy SDoper can help me out! Surely, someone has seen this material. If anyone can provide a link to where I might buy some, or simply provide a tradename it is sold under, or a brand that might make such things…any clue or suggested substitute would be appreciated!

\*The stucco finish is not mandatory, but it does give a nicer appearance than the flat, matted finish akin to foam colored sheets.

That’s pretty close, and would work as a very close alternate. Where would I find that? I guess I should search foam floor tiles, for starters. Meanwhile, I’ll try to post a picture to see if someone can provide info on how/where to find the real McCoy!

Sounds like closed cell foam. Of course, that comes in many flavors. Maybe close to [this](http://www.foambymail.com/MC2-/cross-linked-polyethylene-foam-2lb.html) or [this](http://www.foambymail.com/PE17-_2/polyethylene-foam-sheets-1-7lb-blue.html)? How flexible were the original squares?
