What about tutti fruity? Huh? That’s evil too. Much as I love red vines, they are not licorice. Twizzlers are space monkey dookie no matter the color. ---

I am with you Trigonal Planar. Cherry flavor like that used in cough drops is disgusting. That cherry, artificial banana, and blueberry are the devil’s own mother’s milk. But anyone who hates bubble gum flavor stuff is insane. I loved the hubba bubba soda in the 80s. There is a small soda company who makes a blue bubble gum flavored soda, but it isn’t the same. ---

Artificial cherry flavouring always tastes like almonds (or cyanide – take your pick) to me. I’ve never understood why anyone would think it actually tasted like cherries. ---

Ugh, artificial bubblegum is the most vial thing ever created. I would even take artificial watermelon over the nasty, pink, vomit-inducing smell of fake bubblegum. Strawberry flavoring though, is delicious. Mmmmmmmmm…strawberry starbursts…mmmmmmmm ---

I don’t have a big problem with cherry (it’s not my favorite, though), but artificial RASPBERRY flavor is the most disgusting, gag-inducing flavor ever. Actually, I need to qualify that. There seem to be two different kinds of raspberry flavor. One is the kind that is generally in “blue raspberry” products. That’s not nearly as bad as the flavor that tends to be in “red raspberry” products, like Jell-o and Kool-Aid. Actually, the most disgusting Kool-Aid flavor ever is a raspberry variant (hey, it probably had cherry in it, too) sold in the 1980’s called “Mountainberry Punch”. Oh, yuck. I was so glad to see that flavor DIE, DIE, DIE…and, as and adult, I can generally avoid Kool-Aid anyway. Man, just remembering that flavor makes me want to hurl… ---

Eh, artificial anything doesn’t really bother me. Black licorice, on the other hand, is the bane of my candy-eating existence. Good thing my mom likes it, 'cause there was no way I was eating those black jelly beans on Easter. ---

The only thing I hate about mcy ds is the emploee stupidity and them putting those horrid fake cherrys _shivers_ in their milk shakes. :eek: ---

I puzzled and puzzed until my puzzler was sore, and I gave up trying to parse mcy ds and emploee stupidity. I was hoping that after his bariatric surgery, my husband’s tastes might have changed enough that he’d like cherry flavors as liquid Tylenol only seems to be available in cherry flavor. No such luck… ---

I don’t mind most artificial fruit flavors in things like candy or beverages. I do mind [cough syrup](http://www.straightdope.com/columns/read/2806/). There is just something about it that is just vile. ---

No such luck… If he really hates it a lot, your pharmacist can hook you up with Tylenol suppositories. May even have better absorption than an oral form in a bariatric surgery patient. ---
