I saw a reference to [this](http://www.metafilter.com/mefi/38963) in someone’s LiveJournal.

It appears that GQ was [hit](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=298729) by the spammer.

I suspect we might be seeing more of this sort of thing in the future.

Fuckers.

Employees of Ashlee Simpson’s record company are hitting internet message boards, including the SDMB, praising Ashlee and spinning her lip-synching performance? Is that what’s happening?

You may not understand it, but you still got it right. I think we had some loser shilling for CourtTV last year. IIRC he lasted two posts.
