Asimov/Foundation

I’m the OP. Can we please keep this thread to a discussion of the Foundation series?

Soitenly! My apologies.

Just read the darn books. They aren’t that long and what I read Asimov for, like the others have mentioned, isn’t the characters. It is the fact that on almost every page the man throws a brilliant idea at you. I read his books and have to stop and say woah! a few times every chapter. The man was brilliant.

But, how would the story have made any sense at all without that “subplot”? What would it have been about? How would it have ended?
