> I’m a vegetarian (not a vegan), but I just don’t get that. Then again, I’m not the squeamish type, either. (And my ferrets have always had a diet of heavily-meat-derived kibble, with two starting off on freeze-dried meat patty chunks.)

I didn’t understand it either, but he was an excellent regular customer who spent a lot of money with us. He couldn’t stomach the idea of thawing a prey item, and didn’t feed live because he found it cruel. So he was left with the option of pre-kill or “snake sausages” which he also found revolting.

“Sausages”? Like… regular sausages but with snake-approved filling?

That’s kind of neat. 😃 Do they have ground bones or other calcium supplementation in them? (I’m assuming there’s no whole bones, which would probably be easier on the digestive tract.)

I once found a veiled chameleon outside in Michigan, in Freaking November! I was VERY greatful that we we able to get it to the exotic petstore. They provided it a safe home and eventually got it to the local exotic lizard rescue organization. I wish I had known enough about lizards to keep him, he was huge and cute
