There are people who don’t have a “head for the hills” bunch of gear at the ready at all times?
That’s just weird.
Both my vehicles have kits ready to go. I have 1 in my house as well, in case I have enough time to grab it and thus help some1 else.
Clothes, shoes, tent, tarp, backpack, waterskins & bottles, water filter, salt, knife, maps, compass, barometer, altimeter, waterproof matches, wood chip stove cook kit, mylar blankets, etc., etc. are always packed and ready to go. I check them all and repack them about once a year, too, just to be sure it’s all at the ready still.
I’m always stunned by how many people don’t do this. What if you have to head for the hills?
