I love mine. Its home is on the nightstand, where we can ask the time and the weather without opening our eyes. Shortly after receiving it they updated the software so it can now control our Hue lights. I had a disinterested co-worker request a Prime invite for another the next day. The second one will go in the kitchen/living great room, so we can walk in the house and tell it to turn on the lights, set timers while cooking, etc.
I live in an area that only gets one radio station without static. It’s not a bad station, but if miss my classical music and NPR and variety. Alexa delivers all of them and also is a great Bluetooth receiver, plays ll my iTunes and ?Amazon playlists. I wish I could speak through it remotely to scold my dogs when I see them misbehaving on the webcam
My dad is losing his vision due to macular degeneration. I’m curious about this device. What about heavy accents on the part of the end user?
We got ours a month or two ago and it’s a lot of fun. We can pull up new Pandora or I Heart Radio stations and get subscribed to them just because I feel like listening to a particular artist or song. We’ve been listening to a lot more music lately, with a lot more variety, because it’s very easy.
It’s just fun to have around, and functional too.
Once they address that problem, I’m willing to Beta-test.
Cool tech! I’ve read a lot about it.
the thing sounds great - I’ll bet plenty of people could enjoy one if they knew it existed.
We love ours, but can’t get the shopping list thing to work. Oh, she claims she’s adding things to the list, but refuses to sync with our phones. In that area we’re not impressed.
What? You wanna blow Shakes?
My dad has one, it’s pretty neat. It has a fairly natural sounding voice.
I’d get one, but I’d probably just ask it smartass questions all day.
For an extra $45 it comes with fan
