I hear that Vancouver is supposedly the number one city for alien abductions, though. Maybe itā€™s that leftover miasma from when the _X-Files_ was being shot here for a few years. There are good fairies and bad fairiesā€¦ so you donā€™t want to unnecessarily anger them. šŸ™‚ I think fairies are all right in my booksā€¦ you never know what theyā€™ll do, though. d. Gerbils? Hmm. Donā€™t remember _that_ coming up in our discussions before, but thereā€™s always a first time for everything. I hope never to have them in this apartment or at my brotherā€™s! Never had them as petsā€¦ I expect my mom would have been completely gobsmacked if weā€™d said we wanted one as a pet. I think gerbils are all right, but I wouldnā€™t necessarily have one as a pet or otherwise. e. Spozdogs? You know, itā€™s a weird coincidence that **Happy Lendervedder** mentioned hummus in his question to me. I wouldnā€™t eat them, and apparently neither would **Spoz** if he were totally sober. Doesnā€™t sound like the best combo ever invented, thatā€™s for sure. To forestall the obvious question (ie. ā€œWhat are spozdogs?ā€), Iā€™ll tell you. A spozdog is something **Spoz** invented one day at 4 AM when he was really drunk. He and a friend were at a crazy falafel shop in Adelaide when this happenedā€¦ the guy behind the counter thought heā€™d ordered a gyro instead of a hot dog, and asked if he wanted hummus on it. **Spoz** thought the idea of hummus on a hot dog sounded appealing (hey, he was really drunk at the time!), and asked that there be melted cheese and BBQ sauce to go with it. Eventually, he convinced his friend to try this new creation, and the counter guy wanted to know what to call these things: **spozdogs** were born. Heā€™s since told me that itā€™s flavor countryā€¦ Iā€™ll take his word on it. F\_X ---

When you read threads, do you know a lot of the posters? I mean in the sense that you have a general idea of their interests, backgrounds, previous posts and threads (continue into more intimate and ultimately TMI detail)? ---
