They have improved the scanners, or at least the upright ones, as the noises have gotten less severe. The sound was more thrumming rather than pounding. I fell asleep in the MRI machine for my brain but not for my back. I was in too much pain for my back. I found the noise to be oddly soothing. **Nava** , I’d offer you a hug but you’d probably stab me! How about chocolate and your choice of beerverage instead? My fancy thinkin’ box tells me it is 59 degrees and cloudy outside, I would agree with that. Today’s question to the MMP is simple - does anyone want my rain? **Mooom** , those trivet things look great. Do you ship to the UK? Actually, I had a couple of them years ago that my mum gave me when I moved house. She still has some that she inherited from my grandmother, they’re almost like family heirlooms by now. ---

Whew - it certainly got chatty last night after I logged off… **rosie** , yes, they’re washable. I’ve used the same yarn to make dishcloths (I know someone mentioned those upthread) and the only issue I’ve encountered regards colorfastness. The particular batch of green that I bought some time back would wring out green for several uses. Oddly, the red seemed to be better at not bleeding. \*\*BooFae \*\*- it’d be cheaper for you to learn to crochet. Too bad you’re not coming to DC instead of going to the left coast. Poor planning on your part, I’d say. 😉 I see most of you did a good job answering questions in my absence - and I thank you! As has been said, once a Mumper, forever a Mumper. You are always welcome back as long as you remember to use a coaster. We tolerate a lot, but wet glasses on the furniture is a floggable offense. Or it would be if we hadn’t lost the cat o’nine tails… Anyway, welcome, all!
