It’s a common belief that women who work in the sex industry are “damaged goods”: i.e., has a history of emotional or physical abuse, self-esteem issues, etc. How does this jibe with your experience? ---

Some are for sure, some aren’t what I do see almost unilaterally are “Daddy issues” usually from a divorce where she felt abandoned now that could just be because that happens so often and there is really no correlation, kinda like all serial killers have milk in the fridge. But my 20 yrs plus in the biz tells me there is something to this, even a girl as well adjusted as Kayden Kross seemed to be to me she has serious daddy issues. ---

The whole “if you get paid to have sex on film, it’s not the same as prostitution” thing has made its rounds here. What are your thoughts on prostitution? Consider the legal kind first. Have you ever had to deal with a real pimp? I’d imagine that you would detest that sort of person, given the values you have presented. In some cases its real and a problem no doubt, I have written several times about the titles you mention and I had one black male performer who wrote a piece for me that he titled “I would rather Be Called A Nigger” and he made great points. The industry as a whole is a different issue from whether a particular performer will work with black/hispanic/asian..take your pick. While the industry is guilty of playing to stereotypes it certainly doesn’t help that youth culture plays to the same stereotypes so you certainly also have a case of life imitating art and vice/versa. ---
