I agree. Although Detroit is always solidly Democrat.
Here in West Michigan you might as well be living in Texas, it is very conservative, at least in the suburbs. I was suprised to see plenty of Kerry support in the actual city of Grand Rapids this time, though. In fact I would say my area (Southeast) it was pretty even, if not pro-Kerry.
