Ask the painting contractor chick.

Sorry about that, I didn’t realize the thread was so old!

I made the huge mistake of paying way to much for a paint that is causing me to curse! I am painting with Valspar Reserve. I love the color but I am not liking the roller marks it is leaving behind. Is is very thick ( suppose to be primer and One coat coverage) the consistency of a milk shake. It says do not thin. Is there anything I can do. I have stopped half way thru my project and wondering if I need to try to repaint the entire den and formal dining with a different paint, and if so which one???

nm didn’t realize it was a zombie

Say, we haven’t heard from the OP for quite some time - anyone know what happened to her?

So thin it. The label is saying it’s a one-coat application, which is why they tell you not to thin it, because then you may complain that it’s not really a one coat application. But if it’s leaving globs and marks, you’re either using the wrong roller, or you need to thin it a bit.

After she didn’t back to this thread, Dseid posted here asking if anyone knew her.

She actually had logged in but did not post two days before and has no activity since.

So, Broomstick, no one knows but some of us have drawn some sad conclusions.

Hi there, I am trying to decide between Sherwin Williams and Hirshields for exterior paint. Any opinions?

Um… actually we haven’t heard from the OP for quite some time and we’re a bit worried about her…
