Do you have a best friend at school? What do you do for fun besides post here? Are you close to your parents, and what are they like? (I assume patriotic, Christian, intellectual, conservative). Do they also read the SDMB and what do they think of it? ---

Evangelism is one of the biggest stumbling blocks of Christianity–the effrontery and arrogance of it is a bit mind boggling. Curtis, first I apologize for my earlier quip about not coming back to answer questions. Clearly you are willing to do so. My questions: In your view, how does “intellectual” differ from “intelligent”? Is it possible to be one and not the other? In terms of bridging the gap between the ability to read and recite from various philosophical and theological texts, and actually using such knowledge to inform _your own_ unique perspectives and ideas, where do you see yourself at your current point of mental development? ---

You keep saying that patriotism, to you, means “loving your country and doing your civic duty”. Can you be more specific? What does loving your country mean to you? What do you think YOUR civic duty is? I think you are trying to answer the questions people are asking, but you’re also getting a lot of repeats because you’re not really giving much in the way of details. I’m still unsure of how you, personally, define most of the things you say you are. ---

Curtis, as an intellectual Christian, why do you think God chose to create people, then create a place of eternal torment for people, then create a rule that everyone goes to that place after death, then send his son (that is also himself) to earth, then provide an exception to the eternal torment rule for those who believe that his son is the messiah and died for their sins? Is there anything in the above that is intellectually troubling to you? ---

Why do you believe in god? Why are you specifically Christian? Why aren’t you, say, Jewish or Muslim or Hindu, etc.? What do you mean by conservative? Are there any conservative policies you disagree with? If so, what? Also, after imposing your democratic world government on the planet, what would you do if the majority of people voted that they wanted to have separate nations again?
