Tips?

We had an outhouse, probably not practical for you.

We carried water from elsewhere, there was a spring about half mile away. We’d heat water on the wood stove for washing, bathing was done at the lake when it was warm enough.

Getting water was just another daily chore, I had to walk to the spring about 3 times a day and could carry 4 gallons each trip.
