Toxylon - I would probably get real physical, bang on his head a lot and try to wear him down. With another skilled opponent, and no locks or throws allowed, I would imagine this match would go on for a while. Most likely, I would wait for an opportunity and shoot a standing double-leg takedown. ---

You’ll like this: I watched the fight at our martial arts academy (neato big screen projector), and I had the bright idea to make a group bet that whoever backed the losing fighter had to do 50 burpees. Probably 20 guys called it for Mir and only 3 or 4 for Lesnar. I had Mir and had to do the burpees. After I was done and sat down to watch the prelims one of the guys who called it for Lesnar (himself a former college wrestler), came over and told me “just so you know, the wrestler wins this one, too.” Smartass. 😃 ---
