# Asking Dopers in Another Part of the Country for a Favor: Permissible?

I’d like to open a MPSIMS thread asking for Orlando-area Dopers to buy something that I can’t get locally (a souvenir). I intend to offer to pay for the product plus shipping.

Would this violate board policy?

I think you could go ahead and post a thread asking: “Hey, Orlando-area Dopers, can someone e-mail me? I got a _huge_ favor to ask. . .”

And then make sure you make with the lavish promises of beer/chocolate.
