Asking middle class (and lower) Dopers why they vote Republican.

*If *that’s why you did it, then it was hypocritical at the least, under the strict definition of the term.

More likely, you stumbled across the summary in a Google search, and didn’t bother to do your due diligence. Seeing how obviously biased the “overview of this fascinating topic . . . decently footnoted resource,” was, I suspect you probably also didn’t read it closely.

Note also that you *suspect *that EPI is left-wing because its board includes some union officers, whereas Econlib is explicitly right-wing (or libertarian, which is a distinction without a difference), funded by a right-wing organization, and with an explicitly right-wing agenda.

I expect people to know who she is because it was her summary we were discussing.

And if you want the opinions of professors, follow the links. Card is a professor at Berkeley, and Krueger is at Princeton. Good enough credentials for you?

I suspect EPI’s analysis because of their mission statement, the tone of their site, AND their BOD. That is why I lead with NBER when I am looking for peer reviewed information - the only bias is in the original author’s head.

I have no issue with Card & Krueger, other than Card being at Cal.
