I’ve been learning ASL. I saw a video where someone did the SOME sign (slicing the palm) and then pointed their index finger downward while moving their hand in a circle. It was captioned as “some of us”. But the sign I’ve learned for WE or US is pointing at yourself and moving across your body. So I’m wondering, was this a different sign for US, or some other sign? How would you gloss (transcribe) it?

It’s correct for “Some of us.” The other sign is for “us” in different context. IIRC it signify “people.”

It’s been a long time since I’ve used sign language so I hope I have it correct but there’s some ambiguity there.
