# Aspenglow, I disagree

but if the Pit is the only place for it, then please reopen it there.

My thinking in placing in P&E was its content. You seem to be paying close attention to the form I chose, but if I had phrased the content more conventionally (“Does it seem to you that the GOP has tacitly accepted that it can no longer win elections equitably with Democrats, so they have decided…”) it would be a perfectly viable P&E thread. But rather than rewrite it, I’ll choose to have it opened in the Pit where it may generate a less civil version of the thread I had in mind.

I agree with her decision. I should have done it myself.

It was the right choice and what we generally do with OPs like this.

Agreed @k9bfriender, I thought it was decent satire and it’s great for the Pit. It’s a good thread. Just not good for P&E. But it’s a good thread where it is.

Honestly @slicedalone I hope you don’t feel offended that it went to the Pit, I sincerely enjoyed the OP.
