On the advice of my doctor, I take one children’s size aspirin per day.
And the size is not “obviously arbitrary.” It’s the smallest does that has been studied that provides a benefit. Also, being the smallest dose, it has the lowest risk of the side effects mentioned in other posts.
I think taking 4x the recommended dose of any medicine to save about 1 cent per day is a perfect example of “penny wise and pound foolish.”
