# Asprin vs. Ibuprofen vs. Possible Other NSAID

This is an outgrowth of a workplace discussion/argument over NSAID painkillers.

_Leaving aside the question of side effects_ which is the best over the counter NSAID for relieving joint and muscle pain from exercise/overuse?

Assume for the exercise all pills are taken as directed and the person in question does not suffer from stomach upset, excess bleeding, etc.

Thank you for such a concise and yet comprehensive answer. The only pity is that it sort of killed the thread and there wasn’t any amusing bickering. However, I do have an answer now.

Now, I just have to attempt to explain it to my co-workers who, while wonderful people, did not go to college and will have some trouble with the article and table. But I will make the attempt.
