Fun! August 24. Pretty shitty for musicians. Iā€™ll try, though: Andreas Kisser, who wrote songs and guitar music (or played guitar? canā€™t tell) for Sepulturaā€¦ John Cowanā€“played bass and sang backup for the Doobie Brothers in the 90s (whatever remained of them) Ken Hensleyā€“lead guitar (I think) for Uriah Heap. And a shout-out to Dave Chappelle, who I share a birthday with. Maybe he could do some faux-Prince lyricism over this classic/prog-rock mess. šŸ†’ ---

What a fun thread! I think my March 6 band is interesting, at least top notch, though itā€™s quite an unusual instrumentation (well, Iā€™m going to see a free jazz trombone/accordion duo at a vernissage on Saturday (donā€™t ask :)), so donā€™t rule anything out): Bob Wills - leader and violin David Gilmour - guitar, vocals Wes Montgomery - guitar Kiki Dee - vocals Iā€™d rather hear Gilmour, Montgomery and Wills trading licks than see the free jazz duo, thatā€™s for sure. ---
