I’ll nominate Seven of Nine from _Voyager._ I don’t think she’d particularly improve the team, but you have to have at least one hot chick in a skin-tight suit, and it’s either her or Max Guevera from _Dark Angel._ ---

[/QUOTE] Because I meant to write “should have been SET between 1995 & 2000.” However, since both shows had episodes showing the characters in the '90s (Hercules, immortal, was pretending to be Kevin Sorbo, while Xena and Gabrielle got reincarnated), they’re eligble anywhy. ---

I think this team should provide a nice mix of baddass and gratuitous hot chicks: Jonas Blane (The Unit) - Operations/Special Agent in Charge \* Jack Bauer (24) - Intel/special ops Cordell Walker (Walker Texas Ranger) - Martial arts Dana Skully (The X-Files) - Medical 7 of 9 (ST: Voyager) - Tech D’Argo (Farscape) - Heavy weapons Kara “Starbuck” Thrace - Sniper/Scout/Pilot If possible I would like to supplement my team with an all female triple assault squad consisting of: Sydney Bristol (Alias) Nikita (Le Femme Nikita) Max Guevera (Dark Angel) \*cleverly allowing Bauer to team up with a bad-ass Special Forces version of President Palmer ---

Strategic Command: Lex Luthor, _Smallville_. He’s a super-genius, Machiavellian plotter, richer than Warren Buffet, and, at this stage, not quite evil yet. Who knows? Taken outside of his native narrative, he might end up a genuine good guy. However, he’s no fighter, so for the on-the-ground stuff, I want: Field Command: Major Richard D. Winters, _Band of Brothers_. He’s a real person, who fought in a real war. Our secret operatives are going to be employing real-world minions, who will use real-world tactics. Maj. Richards will command a unit of elite soldiers picked from the special forces of every nation. Yeah, the rules say no government aid, but between the Buffet and Luthor fortunes, we’ve got enough money to bend a few rules. These guys should be able to take care of any military force trained on this world. However, we have to assume that our enemies will be drawing forces of their own from alternate universes, ones that operate under narrative rules very foreign to our own. To handle them, we need our Specialists: Paranormal: Susan Sto Helit, _Hogfather_. BBC did this as a miniseries this year, so she’s in. She’s Death’s granddaughter, so she’s powerful. Doesn’t necessarily have to pay attention to trivialities like “solid matter” or “time.” Also, very, very sensible. Espionage: The Doctor, _Dr. Who_. The Christopher Eccleston version. No one is better at going where he’s not supposed to go than the Doctor. An expert “problem” solver. Pity about the non-violence, though. Intelligence: Johnny Smith, _The Dead Zone_. His powers should be a fool proof way of identifying enemy operatives. Assassination: Lenier, _Babylon 5_. The version from late in the series, when he’d had Ranger training, and after he had his moral crisis when he didn’t rescue Sheridan. Inhumanly fast and strong, advanced technical knowledge, and has just recently lost his moral principles. It should be easy to convince him to take the jobs the Doctor won’t. Assault: Illyria, _Angel_. She’s a demon goddess who wants to learn more about being human! How adorable is that? It’s all the best traits of Data from _Star Trek_ and Kali the Devorour, in one super strong, indestructible package. Assault: Duncan Macleod, _Highlander_. Very highly trained, almost unkillable. Get him to wear a metal collar, and he’s pretty much unstopable. Assault: Buffy Summers, _Buffy the Vampire Slayer_. Because you know there are going to be vampires involved sooner or later. Assault: Talon, _Farscape_. The key to any conflict is air superiority. Assault: Raiden, _Mortal Kombat: Conquest_. God of Lightning. 'nuff said. Think Tank: Quinn Mallory, _Sliders_. He’s got his own universe-skipping invention which, with a little fine tuning from the other super-geniuses in the program, might allow us to circumvent some of the restrictions of the current technology, particularly piercing the “animation” barrier. Gaius Baltar, _Battlestar Galactica_. Should be okay, so long as we’re not fighting AIs. Simon Tam, _Firefly_. He’s one of the top doctors in his field, and his field is at least five hundred years more advanced than ours. Support: Zathras, _Babylon 5_. Because somebody needs to actually get stuff done. Three people who , as soon as Lex Luthor is in charge, will be secretly kidnapped from their respective universes, held captive, and tortured for everything they know: Commander “Trip” Tucker, _Enterprise_, Chief Miles O’Brian, _Deep Space Nine_, and Lieutenant B’elanna Torres, _Voyager_. Look for Lexcorp-brand Matter Replicators and Phaser-based technology to hit the market shortly after the conflict is resolved. Unfortunetly, TNG ended in '94, so Wesley is safe. ---
