Let’s not single out Texans here. The urge to secession is spreading all through the low-information voter belt - more or less the territory where education is less respected than religion, and civic participation is understood in terms of loyalty to tribe. ---

Pah! Folks in Northern California have been talking about seceding from the state for decades, off and on. And we have the added twist of wanting to take the government with us. All they’re doing is venting, and when people vent their spelling can go to hell. ---
