We pronounce it like the first syllable of ‘Arsenal’

The English pronounce it “ars”. But being English, they don’t pronounce the r in “ars”.

according to the AP style guide ‘[sic]’ is used with brackets. so yeah, my mistake.

Haven’t you heard? However people want to spell whatever words they want to use is correct now. We don’t want to be prescriptivist, after all.
