There’s no point in having this argument. Please, drop it before it turns violent. They didn’t mean the offense you found in what they said. And you responded to mild insults or straight-up jokes with a lot more anger than they merited. As I finish the thread, I don’t know why I bothered to write this. I doubt you’ll believe me any more than the other half-dozen people who’ve pointed out that most of the insults you’re seeing just weren’t there. ---

You can be assertive and even proud of your accomplishments. I am of mine, but I try to keep myself from expounding to others on them. Sometimes I fail, sometimes I don’t. Lastly, you never have to lie, but you don’t have to use yourself as the example. Surely, you know one or two others on this earth that have had similar childhood issues. ---
