Asthma Attacks - Out of the Blue?

I had the lung test, you blow into a device and try to blow down bricks on a computer screen. I was diagnosed as an adult but I’m sure I had it for a long time because I always shrugged off the symptoms as allergies. Also, as a child I’d have exercise intolerance if I had to run a lot, especially in cold air, I’d usually get tightness in my chest and wheeze a little. I just thought that was normal. If I had told my mother she’d have probably taken me to a doctor because she had asthma and knew what it was like, but I hated going to the doctor (Sorry, Qadgop) and I never told her.

The thing that finally sent me to a doctor was chronic hives. I got the lung test and allergy testing. I have a severe dust mite allergy, the only thing I’m actually allergic, too. My hives are Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria, not an allergy just a messed up immune system that makes too much histamine. I am on Zyrtec, Singulair and an Albuterol inhaler when needed, I also have Nasonex, Astelin and some allergy eye drops. I’m certainly getting a lot of use of my insurance prescription plan.

I can’t remember if I had that or not. I’ve seen those devices before. I’ll ask for a new test the next time I’m at the doctor’s.
