No one has mentioned the SMC Barricade…!
I am a moderate home user. I use ZoneAlarm. But, I have the SMC Barricade 4 port. Is the LinkSys better? I know it does NAT, but I don’t really know what other features it has. (Other than the built in Print Server, which is nice)
Should I scrap the SMC in favor of the Linksys?

Look at your zonealarm logs. If you are still getting a lot of hits to your machine, You might consider it, but zonealarm is real secure. My machine couldnt even be pinged when it was hooked up direct. I now run a Dlink wireless router It does a good job of firewall, plus I can carry my laptop anywhere in the house and surf(right now I am sitting in front of the TV with my laptop). It also has a 4 port or so switch built in. It wasnt cheap, but it works great.
