Veggies and french onion sour cream dip. Chips are ok, but veggies are the best. Nuts, salted or praline style. Guacamole- homemade and fresh. Strawberries and whipped cream. Olives and pickles. Little sausages. Cake with lots of frosting or cookies/brownies, do nothing for me. So… how about you? ---

broiled stuffed mushroom caps spinach dip and pumpernickel bread marinated mushrooms olives of any kind ditto on homemade guac smoked salmon I could go on… (I, too, say “meh” to the sweets. I’m all about the savory!) ---

Ooh, scallops wrapped in bacon. Those miniature quiches. Any kind, but especially the Lorraine ones (with ham or bacon). There’s a bacon theme here, isn’t there? ---

Cold shrimp, with or without cocktail sauce. If I could just pull my chair up to the buffet table… My mom was a big one for fixing “finger food,” although much of it needed at least a toothpick to handle. Among the things reminiscent of what she cooked (and therefore = NOM NOM NOM): Deviled eggs – like crack, for sure Meatballs or little sausages in some kind of yummy sauce Stuffed celery In the bacon category: whole water chestnuts wrapped in bacon ---

I can’t turn down a good cheeseball. I especially like the ones with a little bleu cheese in the mix. I would eat all of the green onions off a veggie tray if I had a chance. ---
