At least she didn' t slap me

I probably would have felt uncomfortable if a stranger said that to me. Mind you, it was a nice thing to say, and I certainly wouldn’t have reacted in that manner, but I still would have felt weird about it. I’ve had near-strangers compliment me on an outfit or my hair, but never had anyone just outright state that I was a “very attractive woman.” Last week, a co-worker with whom I have become good friends just up and said, “You know, you’re a pretty girl. I can see why you never wear make-up. You don’t need it.” I was really flattered, but then again, I’ve known this guy for months.
