Don’t you fly by/over Newfoundland all the time?
Which reminds me: “The Great North.” I can’t place my finger on what the hell that refers to.
(To me North is anything over 14th street…)
I don’t work over the Atlantic or Pacific at all. I’ve ridden across the ponds or the arctic only as a passenger. The northernmost airports I’ve worked into are Seattle, Toronto, and Boston. And we approach each of them generally from the south. In my current position I never get past Boston.
“Great White North” is a slang term for Canada. Is that what you’re thinking of?
