Based on Tolkien’s beliefs and writings, I think it is very unlikely that they consummated their relationship before the wedding. There is a chance that Aragorn may have had some dalliances but as he met and was literally moonstruck by her at a young age, I highly doubt it. Someone mentioned in jest that lopping off Orc heads is an excellent stress reliever. I think this is really the truth. He was driven to become the perfect Orc killing machine. He drilled harder and pushed himself further than any other man had pushed himself. He made himself a warrior and a leader. This is a man that was channeling many desires into a single minded goal. He was trained in wisdom by Elrond & Mithrandir, no better sources. He was trained in “War” and “Rangering” by older Rangers and Elladan & Elrohir. Excellent tutors. He honed his skills fighting for Rohan & Gondor and tracking Gollum. He learned humility from a chubby tavern keep that lived close enough to an ancient evil that if he was even aware of it, his fat would melt out of his body. 😉 ---

But this doesn’t particularly speak to his virtue, so much as it does to his elitist and short-tempered father in law. When Elrond discovered Arwen and Aragorn’s interest for each other, he laid a doom on Aragorn that he would never know woman until he was the King of the two Realms. And this applied not only to Arwen, but to all women. Kinda puts into context Aragorn’s speaking of a day he has long awaited, at the end of _Return of the King_. ---

Let keep in mind that at age 20 when Estel met Arwen, she was not overly impressed. It was not until they met again many years later (for Aragorn) in Lothlorien that Arwen returned his love. ---
