In one of the EE versions, PJ says that there is footage of Aragorn and Arwin traipsing and skipping through a meadow of daisies as young uns. It wasn’t used–but I would love to see it! I never really thought of them doing the nasty–more like transcending and becoming luminescent in some way… Now, Eowyn and Aragorn–that’s what I’m talking about! (too bad it never happened). ---

They were concerned that society wasn’t really ready for some of the ideas. Seeing where Heinlein went in his later writings, I can only imagine what might have happened to the kids. I still have my original copy of BOTR, from the 70’s! Never mind Arwen. I bet Luthien was a real firecracker! Daughter of an Angel and an elf stirring enough to make an Angel incorporate! Not too sure of Idril, though. Might be hot, might not. Speculation, anyone? ---

Hm. Given that, in context, “woman” clearly included both elf and human females, I think it reasonable to suppose that it extended to other species of persons, as well. Besides, elves are probably the same species as orcs, anyway, and humans the same as hobbits. And he’d have an awfully hard time finding (or recognizing) dwarf-maids, and an even harder time finding Entwives, so they’re probably out, too. Sheep, now… Nah, Briston son of Arathorn just doesn’t have the same ring to it. ---
