Proof of Murphy’s Law #4,313:
Here we have a church with no arcane theological tenets to debate. Its only accepted miracles are childbirth. Even its god is an atheist.
And it still sends out annoying fundraising notices!

Asmodean’s argument can be distilled to: if you do not believe in God, then you believe in “Not-God.” Does this remind anybody else of homeopathy? Is there something in the way our brains are wired that abhors a vaccuum, or at least a non-existence? JDM
True- zero is a number. Numbers are models that we manipulate to mimic reality. They usually do a very good job matching reality, but they are not reality. To use them, we have to make a set of definitions, and stay within it. For instance, we have negative numbers, but in physical reality we do not have “negative” weight. We can define removing weight as adding negative weight, but unless that is needed for a given (limited) operation, it’s a silly and “unnatural” definition.
Zero is only defined in relation to the other numbers. Zero and nothing aren’t the same thing. JDM
P.S., when I said “Asmodean’s argument” I of course meant Nimune’s Argument.
Ah! I get it. I had always thought of atheism as an active disbelief in any sort of higher power. I wasn’t aware that a total indifference to the question was also considered atheism. As such, I withdraw my original conclusions.
