Well, SINCE you folks were kind enough to choose the nearest watering hole to our house and our favorite hangout, I am pleased to RSVP that the future Mrs Stockton (non-poster, Loooooooong-time lurker) and I shall be in attendance. Sonofagun, we’ll meet a mod in person! There’s a 60/40 chance we’d be there ANYWAY on Saturday night, glad FutureMrsS wandered over to MPSIMS! Fiver, we’ll be at St Mtn all day so I doubt we’ll be up for the apres-Manuel’s, but we’d love to meet you for a cold one some other evening. I’ll give the dopers in attendance a phone # if you’re up for it. spoke-, that goes double for you. I suspect we were neighbors for a long time… I’m L5P now, but was across from El Azteca on PDLeon for 5 years. Please try to put in an appearance. ---

OK, an update on Manuel’s. We reconnoitered the joint last night and the place is just freaking huge. It’s perfect for our purposes, but it will be difficult to find anyone, even if we tell the bartender. So I will be the guy in the fish shirt. Yes, really. You can’t miss it. See you all tonight, unless you go to see **fiver** ’s show, which we can now recommend with a clear conscious. The show picks up speed as it goes, and **fiver** ’s piece, in particular, is great (and involves socks!). ---

Well, I’m still debating with myself over showing. While I didn’t make the drive to Knoxville today **Fiver** and the others (ok, only **mouthbreather** ) have seen me _not_ show up enough that they know not to count on me. So, **manhattan** , when you say huge, do you mean packed huge (as in lots of crowds of people around) or huge space-wise, or both? I’ve not ever been there…and as any of my friends could tell you, crowds stress me out to no end. Hopefully someone will be able to answer that one for me and I can decide to go or not and stop stressing out. ---

OK, I will drop by for a few minutes, anyway. And **Lsura** (if you truly exist ;)), Manuel’s is a very spacious bar. (I’m sure that was Manny’s meaning.) **stockton** , I live within walking distance of Manuel’s, so we must be neighbors, sure 'nuff. ---

I just got back from the habitat work site. God, it was FUCKING HOT today. So, I really need a shower before I go out in public. Then again, maybe I wont take one, then my B.O. and **Manny’s** shirt can have a running competition to see who offends more. Eh, on second thought, I think I’ll take a shower. You can thank me when you see me. **Lsura** , I’ve never been there on a weekend night before, but I have been there before, and I think **Manny** is saying that it is a big joint. There are three rooms, not including the bar area or the video game corner. Last time I went (it was a Saturday around dinnertime) it wasn’t very crowded. We may show up a little before 9:00. For reference (for any of you who aren’t **Fiver** or **Lsura** ), I am about 6’3", 290#s, shaved head, and I wear glasses. I will be with **gooti** , who has her hair twisted. To make it easy, just look for the cute black girl. Then you will immediately say to yourself: “What is she doing with that fat ugly bald white guy?”. Damn, I need to pay attention to MPSIMS more often. Sorry is err 7:30 atlanta time now. Had I paid attention I could have made a run down there to see Mouthbreather and Gooti again. Who were great fun at the Bama Dope back in December. Of course, I regret not getting to meet Manny my second favorite mod. Just got back home, as I was there at Manuel’s. All were in fine form and I really had a great time hanging with some of our Atlanta Dopers. Most of them don’t believe it was really me and I’m not quite so sure myself, I’m way out of serious partying condition. They’re still at it but as it’s not good to have to be fished out of the gutter the next morning the lovely Lsura dropped me off on her way home. (Thanks, Laura, hope you didn’t do the Pascual Perez Memorial missed the exit on I-285 thing going home.) your humble TubaDiva Who loved seeing everyone and especially Manny and Canby, the little darlings. ---

Hmmm…I saw the word dopefest and my hand instinctively darted the curser across the screen at the link and clicked on it, breaking my mouse button. Unfortunately, as Otto on the Simpsons says while walking out of a place called “Stoner’s Potplace”,“Man, that is flagrant false advertising!” Damn shame, too, I almost had my bags packed ready to move to Atlanta. Oh well, I’ll just stay here in good old Central Illinois and bask in Cecil’s glory as it comes down with the southwind. ---
