# ATM fees

Some banks have started not having any physical locations and no bank owned ATM and they refund any ATM fees which is awesome.

I recall back in West Texas, my bank introduced a $1 fee on all ATM transactions. At about the same time, they sent out a customer-service survey. I wrote a scathing message on it that effectively said while I could certainly afford to part with a buck, I felt the bank was being miserly and stingy. I guess enough customers wrote the same, because shortly after this they rescinded the charge.
