The best blowed up good scene has to be in [The Last Action Hero](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0107362/) where an ice truck was hit and blowed up good. And one of the henchmen got an ice cream cone embedded in his head. ---

I was once read a book where the hero’s family was in a car crash. Kaboom, dad and family friend die. Hero gets brain damage, but lives. Years later it occurs to our hero that, hey wait a second, the reason the car crashed in the first place was because it was out of gas. So why would the car burn up in the first place? Dun dun dunnnn… Anyway, there’s one example where a writer realizes that cars don’t normally explode on contact. ---
