# Attention podcasters: Get to the fucking point!

For those of you getting sick of the Discovery podcasts, you should check out the “Pop Stuff” podcast they have and it till make you appreciate the professionalism and on-topicness of the other podcasts. “Pop Stuff” is just two higher-ups talking about going to movies or something. It doesn’t even sound like they have a script. Their producer (or whoever does their intro) sounds like Frankenstein. Ugh ugh ugh!

I agree. I prefer podcasts that are more informal and feel like a conversation rather than the more regimented McLaughlin Group type show.

Yeah, I complain about it here, but it’s like complaining about friends that ramble… but if they suddenly started talking like they were using an outline, you’d think “Hey, I miss the friendly parts!”

And btw [S N E A K B R A G] I got to see Radiolab live, went exploring after the show, wound up in a hallway of dressing rooms, and met the guys (and Dave Foley, who’d been part of the show, doing Science Stand-up With F-Bombs).

Since then, I’ve wanted to tell people “I shook Jad Abumrad’s hand!” … but only one friend knew what I was talking about.
