# Attention singers of the Star Spangled Banner: a request

I’m with you. The singing of the National Anthem should be an occasion to celebrate what we share as Americans, not an excuse for self-aggrandizement.

I vote for ending the practice of singing the song before sporting events. That would end most of this crap.
