# Attention: You Are A Moron!

There was an anti-war rally at my school a few weeks ago. Although the crowd was indeed moslty anti-war, there were a few pro-war people there. Here’s some quotes from the article from our school paper. I’m not just pulling out the bad quotes, I was there. This is about it.

“‘What do Afghanistan and Iraq have in common?’ one anti-war student asked a pro-Bush student. ‘They’re both Muslim and they’re both terrorists.’”  
I’m sure the fact that they are Muslim has a _lot_ of importance.

“‘I’ve always felt the United States can do anything we want,’ he said, adding that his mission is to ‘disarm the liberals from the world.’”  
No comment.

“[Senator] Chaundhary was told to ‘Go home commie.’”

“[A student] said, ‘They [the anti-war side] are just a bunch of retards because they need to reasearch it, because they have nothing else.’”  
Yeah, factual arguments are pretty pointless.

Sometimes the stupidity of the human race astounds me.

Well, you could always write a letter to the editor. And make your point clear this time.

I’ve found that discussing\* politics in a group forum is often like spanking a badger with a wooden spoon while holding it by the tail. It makes a whole lot of noise, and someone’s gonna git bit.

What is your school paper saying now that the war has actually started?

- many times, it is simply an argument
