Just bumping because it’s two weeks away exactly. Again, myself, Francesca and curlychick will be staying in the hotel I said before. I wanted to add: One of us looks mildly Middle-Eastern but has a horrific Septic Tank accent. Now, should we do the “What Should I Wear” posts that are so popular before a big US Dopefest? I’m thinking I might try some shopping in London on Friday (We’re arriving during the day on Friday, right, curlychick?) and see what I come up with. I even have a few sterling left from my recent trip up to the North! And to add to Frannie’s list earlier: _One of us_ is a SCIENTIST who managed to keep up with my husband droning on about his boring science stuff. _One of us_ is a former gymnast who also knows sign language. _One of us_ is a hot tamale redhead who will have to take us shopping to the groovy spots. _One of us_ is about 3 stone lighter than s/he was at the last Dopefest. YAY!! NO WORK! FUN!! NO CLEANING POTTIES! NO MAKING FOOD!! ---

Thanks for the occasional mention above, but to my profound regeret I will indeed have to miss this particular Dopefest. I will be in Canberra at the time, as the guest of the Australian Skeptics, demonstrating my ‘Mind Power’ schtick at their national convention. It will be fun, but probably not quite as much fun as a Dopefest. While I’m in Oz I’ll be seeing most of the best touristy bits, and then I’m going to Indonesia purely to see the famed Komodo dragons. Seemed like a good idea at the time, now not quite so sure. Quick fact check on Indonesia: - lots of creepy crawly stuff that can do nasty things - lots of major diseases and health risks (I’ve had jabs against just about everything) - major focus of anti-West terrorist bombings - three metre long lizards with toxic saliva - malaria Assuming I survive, I’d like to have a key role in organising the next UK-centric Dopefest so that I can make sure I don’t miss it. I couldn’t bear to miss two in a row. For all those disappointed that **Angua** can’t make it, don’t fret. Wherever she is on that day, so long as she raises her voice a little you’ll be able to hear her. I hope you will all take lots of pix so I can sort of see what it was like if I ever return. I have already politely requested a Cleavage Beer photo be taken with the super sexy **Tansu** holding an ‘Ianzin - wish u were here’ sign in an appropriate position. Or even an inappropriate one. I hope you all have a very good time, and I will be there with you in spirit doing strange things with cards and nails and KABOOM paper. ---
