# Auto "Safety" Technolgy is getting out of hand....

I was behind a clown who went from the right most lane across two lanes of traffic, clipped a poor woman in the left lane, then bounced back to the shoulder. And who then claimed the woman hit him. I took great pleasure in telling the CHP guy, no she didn’t.

The behavior you see is partially due to people who leave massive amounts of space in front of them when traffic is moving at 10 - 15 mph. I’d like a radar system because these clowns slam on the brakes of someone pulls in half a mile ahead of them. It is no excuse for the dive bombers, but they’d have less success with less room to sneak into.

Carpoolers are pretty bad also, since many of them seem to think the world owes them a smooth path to the HOV lane or the exit.

I don’t think we need rain triggered wipers - what we need are wiper triggered headlights, since vast numbers of people can’t be bothered to turn their lights on during a downpour.
