# Automating mouse clicks

This is probably not the correct forum to pose this problem, but I don’t know where else to start. If it can’t be answered here, SURELY someone will tell me where to go…

Without getting into a long-winded discussion about WHY I need to do this, here is the problem: There are long periods (approaching several hours) when I an away from my computer keyboard, during which I need to “click” the mouse cursor on a positionally-fixed web page link in order to update the page information, which is then sent back out (uploaded) to a video server. It’s no problem, of course, to leave the mouse cursor positioned over the link that needs to be clicked, but how do I “command” the button click, say, once every two minutes (or other selectable interval)? Can this be done? Private email responses welcome.
