It is encrypted from end to end, which means the only people who can read the messages sent are the people they are sent to. If that is the app she wanted to use to communicate with you, that part at least it’s not a scam. But the only way to confirm that you are talking to a woman is to talk to her. Texting, by phone or app, will do nothing to differentiate. ---

If your personality on dating sites is similar to how you behave here, I’d be amazed if women DIDN’T decide against wasting time on you. At best, you’re an immature tool. At worst, aggressively creepy and demanding, to the point that someone might well decline contact with you out of concern for her own safety. ---

Since the black-and-white stray cat that showed up our yard has decided to stick around (apparently the hunting is good), I have posted its photo and identifying characteristics on lost pet websites. Judging by the large volume of similar-looking cats reported as lost just on this side of town in 2016, it is obvious that in addition to pets going missing by accident, many people are dumb enough to let their cats run around unsupervised outdoors (and then bemoan the fact that kitty ran off and/or was run over or eaten by predators). Keep your cat indoors or in a secure outdoor enclosure. ---
