# Avatar...the Last Airbender: the good and the bad news... (open spoilers)

…firstly, the bad news. The movie is getting bad reviews: currently rating only 7% on Rotten Tomatoes…

This is very disappointing for me and many others because the source material is so fantastic. Hopefully someone can get the franchise off M. Night Shyamalan and give it to Peter Jackson or someone… ☹

I hope the movie isn’t as bad as the critics say: but some of my favs have destroyed it so I am not holding out much hope. ☹ To anyone who does see it and hates it: please give the original series a go and if you like it, support them by buying the DVD. I hope the Legend of Korra is true and I look forward to the new series!!!

Yikes, Roger Ebert’s review says: “The Last Airbender” is an agonizing experience in every category I can think of and others still waiting to be invented. The laws of chance suggest that something should have gone right. Not here."
