In the movie he was pretty explicitly appearing now and then to Lucy, which did not suggest that he was all _that_ busy elsewhere. ---

Since you only know the movies and I only know the books, it is probably impossible for us to have a discussion about this. Anyway … I don’t think it’s possible to enjoy the Chronicles unless one is willing to suspend disbelief & accept some basic (i.e. Christian) tenets as being literally and physically true in the world of the story. Thor would not have let the Narnians die as they did. But though Aslan loves his people (for certain definitions of love), Aslan is not Thor. But that doesn’t make him Odin. ---

Really, stop there. You can’t even compare Narnia with Arda, not the written works. But the movies? Jackson wasn’t to bad.
